About these terms

These booking terms apply between you as guest and Daniel Dahlén, private host of Visit Lyse (Lyse Lerklev 126, 453 92 Lysekil, Sweden). By completing a booking you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms.

Contact us at daniel@maivor.ai if anything is unclear.

Booking and payment

Bookings are made through our booking platform on visitlyse.se or directly via Hospitable. The full booking amount is charged at the time of booking via Stripe — we do not split payments or take a separate deposit.

Once payment is completed you will receive a booking confirmation by email with details and practical information. The booking is considered concluded when the confirmation has been sent.

Cancellation

Guest cancellation follows a tiered schedule based on days before check-in: • More than 30 days before check-in: full refund. • 7–30 days before check-in: 50% refund. • Less than 7 days before check-in: no refund.

Cancellations are made through the link in your booking confirmation or by replying to the confirmation email. Refunds are issued to the same card used for payment, normally within 5–10 business days.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking where payment for any reason has not gone through. In extraordinary circumstances — for example serious illness documented by a doctor, or government travel restrictions making the trip impossible — we handle cancellations on a case-by-case basis; this does not automatically follow the schedule above.

Changes to a booking

Date and guest changes are possible subject to availability, and are recalculated at the current rate for the new dates. A price increase is paid by the guest; a price decrease is not refunded. Send your request as early as possible by replying to your booking confirmation.

Modifications are not a workaround for the cancellation policy — sharply shortening a stay close to check-in is treated as a partial cancellation.

No-show

If the guest does not arrive on the check-in date without having cancelled, the full booking amount is charged and the dates remain reserved for the guest. No refund applies. If you are running late, email us as soon as you can and we will watch for your arrival.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in times differ slightly between the cabins: • Torpet: check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM. • Småbåtslaboratoriet: check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM.

The key code and directions are sent by email before arrival. If you need earlier check-in or later check-out, ask us when you book — we will do what we can depending on cleaning and the next guest.

House rules

• The houses are smoke-free. • Pets are not allowed at either cabin. • Parties and events are not permitted at either cabin. • The number of guests must not exceed the booked count (max 4 at Torpet, max 10 at Småbåtslaboratoriet); exceeding it is grounds for cancellation without refund. • We value peace and quiet for neighbours and the next guest — observe quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. • The cabin should be left in the same condition as on arrival. Final cleaning is included, but heavily soiled surfaces or a very late departure may be charged separately.

Damage and wear

Normal use and everyday wear are included. For damage to furnishings, the property or grounds the following process applies:

1. We document the damage with photos and a short cost estimate (parts and labour as applicable). 2. You receive the documentation by email within a reasonable time after the stay. 3. You have 14 days to respond with any objections. 4. If you do not object, or once we agree on the amount, the cost is charged to the card used at booking via Hospitable/Stripe's standard damage-charge flow.

We do not take a security deposit at booking.

Minimum age

The primary guest — the person whose name is on the booking and who pays — must be at least 18 years old and present at the cabin throughout the booking period. We may ask to see ID. Bookings made to allow a third party to stay without the primary guest's presence are not accepted.

Liability

The guest is responsible for damage to the cabin, furnishings or grounds occurring during the stay (beyond normal wear), and for ensuring that other guests in the party follow these terms. Visit Lyse is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings during the stay.

In circumstances beyond our control — for example serious damage to the property, power outage or natural events making the stay impossible — our liability extends no further than refunding unused nights.

Disputes and applicable law

Swedish law applies to these terms and to your booking. We always try to resolve issues directly — contact daniel@maivor.ai with the reference number from your booking confirmation.

If we do not reach a solution, you as a consumer have the right to turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (arn.se) or the EU online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr).
