Why a cottage instead of a hotel?

On longer assignments, two weeks or more, hotels become expensive and impractical. With us you get your own kitchen so you can shop at the local supermarkets in Lysekil and cook proper meals, a washing machine for workwear, free parking right outside, and a whole house with no shared walls between you and a neighbour sleeping after their shift. If several colleagues stay together, the per-person cost also drops well below hotel rooms.

Two cottages in Lyse

Torpet is an 1860s farmhouse of about 60 m², good for 1–4 people and useful if you're alone or sharing with one colleague. Småbåtslaboratoriet is a larger villa sleeping up to 10 across three bedrooms plus extra sleeping areas, with one bathroom and a separate WC, an observation tower and a wood-fired hot tub. It suits crews staying together. Both have full kitchens, parking and 5G wifi.

Long-stay setup and pricing

For assignments of 7 nights or longer we adjust pricing and handle bookings outside our regular online flow. Common patterns are 1–4 weeks during scheduled turnarounds and rolling monthly rentals for longer projects. We need start and end dates, number of people and any specific requirements (extra cleaning, linen, parking for several cars). Standard cancellation, payment and house-rules terms per our booking terms apply unless otherwise agreed in writing in the quote.

Is there a washing machine?

Yes, both cottages have a washing machine. We recommend bringing your own detergent.

How early should we book?

For major scheduled turnarounds, book at least 3–4 months before the assignment starts. For other periods, get in touch as soon as your dates are confirmed.

Is smoking or pets allowed?

The houses are smoke-free. Pets are not allowed at either cabin.
